The Arizona Trail Association’s Endurance Events take place on premier segments of the Arizona National Scenic Trail. Please explore the site and find out more about our trail running and mountain biking events, which directly benefit the maintenance and protection of the AZT.

Discounts are offered to current members of the Arizona Trail Association, Native Americans, military veterans, and youth under the age of 18. If you qualify, please send an email to matthew@aztrail.org for the discount code before registering online.

No refunds are given for any reason, but if you need to cancel your registration at least two weeks in advance of the event, we will apply a % of your registration credit toward another event in the series over the next year. You can cancel your registration through the UltraSignup platform, and the credit is automatically applied to your account.

Oracle Rumble

The Oracle Rumble takes place near the beautiful, historic town of Oracle, Arizona, located just north of Tucson on the north side of the mighty Santa Catalina Mountains. The event is mostly singletrack through Oracle State Park and follows magnificent and remote sections of the Arizona Trail in Pinal County. The course is constantly rolling, making this a very challenging event for all distances. Your reward is that the views are often breathtaking!

Vail Scramble

Trail Run

This trail marathon, half-marathon and 10K traverses the valley between the Santa Rita and the Rincon Mountains. It offers spectacular, sweeping views and while the marathon has plenty of challenging ups and downs, the half-marathon and 10K courses offer mostly a gentle, winding descent through ocotillo, prickly pear cactus, creosote, and mesquite.

The Stagecoach 100 Mile & 55k follows Arizona Trail singletrack along the foothills of the mighty San Francisco Peaks. This is followed by a long and rolling descent into the Arizona high plains, which includes a trip through the historic Babbitt Ranch, an historic ranch in northern Arizona set on 750,000 scenic acres. 55K runners finish here and 100-mile participants continue to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We’ve also got relay options! And for mountain bikers, you can ride for 100 scenic miles along the Arizona Trail between Flagstaff and Grand Canyon.

This one-of-a-kind trail running and mountain bike event includes some of the Arizona Trail’s most pleasant trail tread and well-graded Forest Service roads on the North Kaibab Ranger District. The 13.1-mile loop traverses an enchanting area of northern Arizona, passing through an idyllic forest of spruce, pine, and aspen; past shallow ponds, springs; and in and out of limestone canyons. For about a mile, the course dodges among stately trees along the East Rim of the Grand Canyon, offering breathtaking views of Marble Canyon, the Vermilion Cliffs, Saddle Mountain Wilderness, House Rock Valley, and Navajo Mountain.

Colossal Vail 50/50

The Colossal Vail 50/50 is an adventurous ultra run on portions of the Arizona Trail near the community of Vail (24 miles southeast of Tucson). Starting and finishing at Colossal Cave Mountain Park, both the 55K and 50-mile courses feature some of the greatest high desert trail running opportunities in this part of the state. There’s also a spicy half-marathon distance in the morning, and a nighttime half-marathon — runners can do both for a full trail marathon (with a nice long break in the middle of the day).
