They use real food, starting from scratch, and their flavors all come from real fruit! Their hydration products will be available at all aid stations, and recovery products at the finish line. Learn more about what they do and why they do it at skratchlabs.com and you’ll see why we have chosen Skratch Labs at the Official Hydration for Arizona Trail Endurance Events!
Thanks to the recent construction of the Oak Tree Canyon Trailhead, we are able to offer a marathon distance to the AZT Vail Scramble. This rugged and scenic segment of the Arizona Trail’s Las Colinas Passage in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains features oak woodland and rolling ups and down with a total of 2,200 feet of elevation gain. Check out the course map, elevation profile, and aid station information to see if you’re up for the challenge. The register soon as spots for this event distance are limited.
Thanks to our amazing graphic designer Shannon Villegas, we are proud to share a fresh map for the Vail Scramble! This map shows event parking area, start locations for the 10K and Half-Marathon, finish line, aid stations, the Arizona Trail, and the location of the post-event party at Charron Vineyard! Check it out here.
We are excited that our friends at GU Energy are coming back to support the Oracle Rumble with an in-kind donation of GU Energy Gels at aid stations. So whether you’re running the 12K or 50 Miler, expect to find a boost of energy waiting for you at each of the aid stations along with other food and beverage offerings. For over 20 years, GU has been the preferred energy gel of outdoor adventurers. We are grateful for their support!

Registration is now open for all five events in the 2022 Arizona Trail Endurance Series. Whether you prefer to run or ride, we’ve got some outstanding adventures lined up for the year ahead. We hope you can join us for one or more of these events (from 10K to 100 Miles), all of which benefit the Arizona Trail Association and our mission to protect and maintain the AZT!
Check out the sweet wooden finisher awards from Elevation Culture! They’re all yours if you finish the half-marathon (13.6 miles, actually). Runners finishing the 55K or 50-Mile events receive a custom engraved steel railroad spike.
Thanks to the talented designers at Cirrus Visual Communications, we are excited to share the 2019 T-shirt for the Colossal Vail 50/50 presented by Fleet Feet Sports – Tucson. The image celebrates the rattlesnake mural that all participants will run through in the 50-Mile, 55K and Half-Marathon distances on November 9. Created by Ed Muren, this mural is the first art project to lively up the cement culverts the AZT utilizes to safely cross under roadways.
Registration is still open for the Colossal Vail 50/50, so sign up soon for this premier trail running event that benefits the Arizona Trail Association.
The AZT North Rim Ramble presented by Summit Hut on August 25 was a huge success, with 82 runners finishing this annual event among the spruce and aspens of the Kaibab National Forest. A course record was set in the half-marathon when Mike Popejoy finished in 1:21:50. Laura Haley finished her very first marathon in 4:01:47, capturing the women’s marathon win and finishing third overall. Complete results can be found here. Thanks to all the runners and families who traveled great distances to participate in this trail running event for the benefit of the Arizona Trail Association. We hope you’ll join us next summer as the Ramble tradition continues…
