Due to the Mangum Fire and concerns associated with COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the North Rim Ramble for 2020. Registered runners will receive a full refund by check within the next two weeks. Please mark your calendar for August 28-29, 2021 when the North Rim Ramble returns!
Our friends at Salomon have renewed their support of Arizona Trail Endurance Events for 2020. That means some of the fastest runners in various categories will receive Salomon hydration packs or trail running shoes! We will also give away valuable Salomon swag to lucky runners at the finish line raffle. Three cheers to Salomon for their continued support!!!
Perhaps the only cool place to ride in Arizona in August is on the high-elevation forests of the Kaibab Plateau. That’s why we added a mountain bike race to the North Rim Ramble! Register today for the 6-hour event, and completed as many laps as you can. The course is an incredibly scenic mix of double track through meadows, forest roads through dense fir, aspen and pine forest, and Arizona Trail singletrack with views into the Grand Canyon’s East Rim. This inaugural event is limited to the first 100 riders to register. Register HERE today.
The AZT North Rim Ramble presented by Summit Hut on August 25 was a huge success, with 82 runners finishing this annual event among the spruce and aspens of the Kaibab National Forest. A course record was set in the half-marathon when Mike Popejoy finished in 1:21:50. Laura Haley finished her very first marathon in 4:01:47, capturing the women’s marathon win and finishing third overall. Complete results can be found here. Thanks to all the runners and families who traveled great distances to participate in this trail running event for the benefit of the Arizona Trail Association. We hope you’ll join us next summer as the Ramble tradition continues…
