Southern Arizona 50K Trifecta
We are super excited to announce the new Southern Arizona 50K Trifecta for
the 2026/2027 season, proudly sponsored by The Running Shop!
Created by popular demand, the Southern Arizona 50K Trifecta is a unique challenge for runners looking to finish all three of southern Arizona’s greatest 50K trail running events in a single season:
– Colossal Vail 50K on December 5, 2026 in Vail, AZ
– AZT Oracle Rumble 50K on January 30, 2027 in Oracle, AZ
– Old Pueblo 50K on March 6, 2027 in Sonoita, AZ
This is a ‘sister series’ to the already well-established and coveted Southern Arizona Triple 50, where runners complete all three 50 Mile distances at the same three events.

All events take place on a portion of the Arizona National Scenic Trail, with event proceeds donated to the Arizona Trail Association to support our mission to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the natural environment.

Special Prizes for All Finishers
In addition to the great experiences and event swag you’ll receive at each ultra, completing all three 50Ks within the posted, required cutoff times will earn you a custom running hat and a gift certificate for The Running Shop to celebrate your incredible accomplishment!
You will also be invited to the Awards Fiesta at Three Canyon Beer & Wine Garden in April, where we will announce your cumulative time for all three events, with awards to the fastest overall male and female runners. If you attend the Fiesta, you will be given two complimentary drink tickets.
