6-Hour Mountain Bike Race Info

NORTH RIM RAMBLE 6-HOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE

This 6-hour event will be held on the same course as the running event on Sunday, a scenic 13-mile loop on forest roads and Arizona Trail singletrack. Cover that loop as many times as you can in 6 hours! Mountain bike race is on Saturday, and the trail running event is on Sunday. Maybe you’ll want to do both…?

LIMITED TO ONLY 150 MOUNTAIN BIKERS!

Race starts at 8 am and ends at 2 pm. You must start your last lap before 1:59 pm for it to count.

Awards to all finishers, with special prizes for the Top Three men and women overall.

• Average elevation is 8,800 ft. – it’s nice and cool but your lungs will feel it.

• Delicious lunch at the Kaibab Lodge provided for all participants and included within registration fee

• Bring the whole family and enjoy gorgeous, cool, summer camping options in established campgrounds or plentiful dispersed camping on the Kaibab National Forest.

No Refunds. In the unfortunate circumstance where event organizers are forced to cancel due to wildfires, forest closures or other public safety hazards, a 100% credit toward any other events in the Arizona Trail Endurance Series will be offered to participants. If you choose to cancel your participation up to two weeks before event day, you can claim a 90% registration credit for use at a future event.

DIRECTIONS TO EVENT PARKING ON FR 611

Find your way to the junction of Hwy 89A and Hwy 67 at the tiny town of Jacob Lake, Arizona. Food and lodging is available here, and there are ample camping opportunities nearby. Head south on Hwy 67 for 25 miles toward Grand Canyon National Park. Look for the North Rim Country Store on the east side of the road. Just south of the North Rim Country Store, turn left (east) on FR 611 toward East Rim View. The road soon turns to dirt. Continue for ¼-mile and park along the right (west) side of FR611 near the junction of FR 216, facing south. There will be signs for parking. The start/finish line is just east of FR611.

  • Saturday, September 28: 7-8 am at the start/finish line
